My wife and I were having car troubles. We decided to go with Firestone on Murphy Rd for oil change and tune-up. Jose Hernandez and staff were friendly and professional. We left the store to fill up for gas on the way home. All of a sudden the car would not start. We immediately called Jose at the store which was almost closing time.
Our insurance has road side assistance so we had to wait almost 30 minutes for services per operator from dispatch. Jose went above and beyond by not only offering to stay after hours, but if in the case that we needed him, he would come out to where we were to see what could be the issue. Road side assistance was not efficient with their arrival and when the wrecker truck did call us, they informed that they would be on the way in 25 more minutes... We were there waiting for almost an hour. It appeared to be a helpless night as every person we asked for a possible jump, was of no assistance.
I called the store back for Jose as I knew he may have left after waiting, and no response. When all of a sudden I get a call from an unrecognized number and who is it, Jose from Firestone. What a relief. He was actually on the road asking me what exit to take to locate us. About 5 minutes who pulls up? Jose. Within 2 minutes, Jose has a jumper cable box, pops the hood, and magically the car turns right on. Not only was that prompt but he was proactive in suggesting new battery. We were able to safely drive home and first thing in the morning, we got a new battery. The funniest thing was that our road side assistance called back to say he is close by and we were already assisted by Jose.
On the next day, Sunday morning, the staff was extremely gracious and discounted the price for our inconvenience. Though this may not have been the fault of Firestone, they deserve great recognition for their above and beyond services for my wife and I. I strongly consider returning to this particular location for car services. On behalf of The Brooks Family, we thank you and greatly appreciate you.
