I am writing this for my fiance as she is on the phone once again because her 2 year old Vaio broke for the fifth time. These computers are the biggest pieces of junk you could ever invest in. The fan has broken twice, the cd drive once, and the mother board once. Now the mother board is broken again and we once again have to pay to get her hard drive downloaded so she can continue to work. Sony's customer service is full of lies. All they do is send us a box to mail off her computer to be fixed, which they do with rebuilt parts. All of this takes over a month, which is lost time for her as a full time doctorate student. The last time this piece of crap broke they promised her a new computer, but guess what? They sent the same old laptop back and here we are again spending the afternoon on the phone trying to get this fixed. All they do is frustrate you until you give in to their "rules". They are liars and never take notes on passed conversations. They just transfer you around and try to pass the buck to another customer service rep. This company is horrible and you should NEVER buy a computer from them. They are the biggest pieces of junk you could ever have. They are completely unreliable, break easily, and their warranties are worthless. Do yourself a favor and go buy a MAC. That's what I did and it's the best computer I have ever had. Sony sucks and I bet they don't even track complaints such as this to see how their customers feel about them. My fiance is crying on the phone with them because of the stress this company has put her through with this laptop. They are heartless and hide behind their corporate BS. Somebody has the authority to make this right, but they never let you talk to that person.
