Have spent a sizeable amount of money for several years with Best Buy. Probably for the last time. I attempted to take my Office Jet Printer to the 12410 St. Charles Rock Road-Bridgeton, Mo. Store for repair if possible. Waiting in line of the Geek Squad area with 9 other customers. Two reps in this area to render help to 9 customers. After waiting in line for 45 minutes there were still 5 of us left. My fellow customers were as irate as I. We all noticed that the service desk (right next to Geek Squad) had 8 blue shirt store employees and 1 other gentleman. At the point that they were all laughing, cutting up, and two singing, I asked for help for us all or to see the manager. One of them was a manager! Finally got to Geek rep and was told that my printer wouldn't be worth repairing and to get a new one was more cost effective. At $350.00 purchase price for this printer this wasn't very palatable to me. I told rep that I loved this printer, had purchased a new HP photosmart (expensive) and hate it. Excessive ink usage, very costly to operate, not user friendly. Rep told me "Stay away from Photosmart" Told rep that store pushed this printer to me as great! Rep told me to get an officejet! Repeated to rep that Officejet was what he was looking at!!! Rep told me to get an extended warranty with it!!! Disappointed I asked if he could keep my beloved printer. Answered yes, for a $10.00 fee and to go to service desk to complete this transaction. Yea, right, you bet I did. Did I have the right to be upset. I believe so. Thanks, I've vented.
