I purchased the Magic Jack about a year and a half ago. It never worked at the time. I just got a new laptop and new Internet service so I thought I would give it one more try.
I found that my phone number had expired and they wanted another $20 for one year of service was $69 for five years of service to re-activate the device.
I asked for some courtesy due to the fact that I had virtually no success in the past. Please keep in mind that on their website they offer a 30 day free trial.
After chatting with their customer service rep, then getting escalated to their senior rep I was told that there is nothing they can do.
Well... Between Google voice and cable-based VOIP service why would anyone need Magic Jack anyway.
Because at the end of day Magic Jack is junk!
