Hymosa Computers Inc of West Jefferson North Carolina is a Ripoff and a Scam!
I took my computer to Hymosa computers to get it worked on, I was put off and put off numerous times. Saying that they had to find the correct mother board as their source was on back order. Finally after a year had went by and nothing, I told them that I wanted the hard drive put into an external case.
This went on several months. As I explained to them, I didn't have a problem with this delay as I was in the process of moving my shop.
Finally after 2 years or so, Hearing nothing but excuses, I told them that I wanted my computer back.
I was then told that they wasn't sure that they even had my computer or hard drive. They said that they thought they had my drive but wasn't sure and that all the data had been wiped clean.
I used this computer in a store. It had hundreds of people's personal and credit card information stored in the computer. They were aware that the computer had sensitive information from the beginning, however, who knows what has really happened to the information after they got a hold of it?
Hymosa computers was told not to do anything with the hard drive, however, now the hard drive is missing and everyones data, identity, including mine, is at jeopardy of getting stolen! Beware of Hymosa Computers in West Jefferson!
AFTER THE FACT... Despite not getting the computer fixed, they stated that they don't hold anything beyond 30 days. Which was news to me as I was continuously delayed, Then the owner tried to say that I had said I didn't want it fixed... Gee? Didn't want it fixed? - Is that why I went to the trouble of taking the computer apart and taking it to their shop???
Evidently, Hymosa computers thinks it is ok to destroy people's computers after 30 days without informing the owner about it! - That's right, they didn't as much as send me a certified letter stating their course of action or anything, however, they claim that they have a right after 30 days to do as they choose, regardless of whether or not you know about it and regardless whether they delay your repairs for months or not.
Can you only imagine how it feels - You take your computer to Hymosa computers for repair. Trying to be patient with a local repair shop for service... You give him all the time in the world then when you go back to get your computer - you learn that they lost your computer and hard drive and everything on it?
Hopefully people reading this will be careful about who they do business with.
Hymosa Computers in West Jefferson NC in my opinion is the worst of the worst computer repair shop. They SUCK!
If I had to do over, I would have to say heck with the local computer repair person, in this case Hymosa computers, and go to a real reputable tech person for computer repair. Someone that actually gives you a signed receipt upon leaving the store. Obviously you can't take Tommy - the owner of Hymosa computer repairs word at face value as it wasn't worth the breath that came out of his mouth.
That's right. I wasn't even give a receipt for taken my computer in to get repaired. But I do have several witnesses and recorded telephone messages. I'll upload later ;o)
