We got our 9-month-old HP notebook in to the Geek Team since the display was 'dripping'... Evoking the image to possess dark outlines inside it that gradually 'increased' within the display. Because we'd bought a long warranty, we anticipated the almost all the cost could be protected.
We were wrong. We were informed the display wasn't protected since it 'appeared as if' somebody had set pressure onto it. (!?) They 'thought' that it'd charge about $350. To displace it and stated that it'dnot charge something to deliver it away for their restoration heart for an estimation.
In Regards to A week later we got a contact stating the estimation was completed. After I named I had been informed that it'd charge $850.00 to correct the display (on the notebook that did not charge that much!). We said no thanks.
We went online, bought a brand new display (for less than $120... including shipping) and mounted it (applying directions we discovered online) in under one hour!!! And we are not specialized experts!
Geek Squad is just a rip-off... And are also Bestbuy extensive guarantees.
