At first, when my Inspiron14r's motherboard gave out, I was elated to discover that the warranty was still good and a replacement was coming my way. However, repeated mistakes from tech support led to two scheduling conflicts that I had tried to prevent. So, nearly three weeks later, no repair scheduled. So much for urgency; by now I'm putting serious thought into an ASUS laptop.
In summary, Dell support cannot be relied upon for quick and effective service.
