On Black Friday Dell offered a great deal on the Inspiron 14z. I received a letter yesterday letting me know that they oversold that model, and that they were substituting the 15 (Not Z or R) instead. I tried contacting Dell support through Chat, Phone and email. Never got a response through email. Chat people took a long time to respond, then could not help me. I spent several hours on the phone waiting for help. It took about an hour to get a person to answer, then they could not help me and stuck me in another queue. Their customer service is NON existent.

I wanted to be able to swap out the laptop for another model that was similarly priced (one that I could use). They would not allow that. I offered to buy a more expensive laptop if they could credit me the $300 discount and they wold not honor that either.

Bottom line was this was a terribly frustrating experience. I spent hours on the phone and wasted a lot of time taking to people that could not care less about customer support. And to add insult to injury... They billed my credit card for the product that they KNEW they could not ship. What gives Dell? I remember when you used to be a decent company... Guess those years are gone. I would have liked to talked to at least one person that spoke clear english in this process.
