IEA booked rooms for us, never passed on the money or the reservations to hotel

I just found out today that we have been scammed by IEA. We booked 6 rooms (and later a 7th room) with one of their agents, Tom Morgan, for a bank of hotel rooms at a hotel in Chicago, IL for a trade show we are doing in May.

I emailed the agent today and my email bounced back. I got concerned. Called the IEA phone number 5 times and never got a live person nor any return phone call. So I called the actual hotel in Chicago. THey have no record of our reservations - nada. And our credit card has been charged for the rooms by IEA Events Planning. So they got our money, and never passed along the room reservations or the money to the hotel. Nice scam. What a total ripoff.
