I hired a typical car from AVIS, MCI (Kansas City Airport Terminal) thru Priceline.com
After I visited collection the vehicle, Avis supplied me having a Dodge Charger. I electronically signed the papers with little to no clarification about the conent of the documents. There is an extended point and so I closed and was on my method thinking I obtained the vehicle I-book on Priceline.
After I delivered the vehicle, there is one more cost for $43 Avis stating that, that's for your update. I never requested for an upgrade and Avis stated I closed for an update. The term "update" or "extra price" never got up in out preliminary discussion using the rental broker. I talked to an Avis broker concerning the unwanted costs. He wasn't useful whatsoever.
After recreating the first discussion using the Avis telemarketer at period of collection, the broker intentionally deceive me using the providers which were provided (incorporating the update). He was a smooth talker and rapidly led me through the paperwork that was offered on the 10-inch pc check (difficult to study). I sent Avis customer support and obtained a processed "regret any misunderstanding" notice.
This seems to be a typical scam by Avis. There are lots of grievances about Avis lure / change methods about the intenet, especially for individuals that use websites to guide rental vehicles.
I'll never use AVIS again.
