Refund confusion andimcompetence - Teeth Whitening Product

So I purchased a voucher and the same day decided I didn't want it, so I cancelled it.
The money went out of my account immediately, however I am still waiting on a refund.

I emailed to confirm the refund policy as its a little conveluted, and I was given a copied and pasted section of the site.

On the 5 day mark when my refund didnt go through, after I had rang the bank, I contacted livingsocial again via email, someone replied at 5:25pm "whoever ordered the voucher will have to ring this number". So i did.

Of course all supervisors and bosses were at a meeting and closing was approaching. So Id hear back first thing Monday morning.

No call, no email. So I rang again. Nothing on my account to say I was having an issue.
This time I got "oh you just want a confirmation email of your cancelled voucher, no problem". Em no, I want my money back!

I was on hold for 20mins in total to be told because I cancelled the same day the money never went out of my account (according to the bank it did, effective immediately after clicking purchase) so they dont give refunds because the payment wasnt processed. I tried to explain to her that I didnt get any refund, and I was met with silence.

I will never order from livingsocial again, I was met with uncertainty and rude customer representatives.

All for a bog standard refund...
