This is a warning for anyone looking to buy any product from Billet2Race.
I purchased a Billet2Race shifter for a Buell Tube Frame Motorcycle. After months of run around from Ken Wilson and his gimp wife, I get scammed... Wow. Terrible customer service, I mean BAD... Product looks decent and works good so far. Its stuck in reverse pattern - of course no instructions.
So here is my story&
Had an accident with my bike, decided to upgrade to the B2R shifter. Ordered the polished verison from their website. Took almost a week to ship to me with ZERO communication. I finally receive the product throw in a flat rate box with no installation instructions. The shifter is unpolished and has many scratches on it. I Contacted the company by phone and email with no response.
Weeks later, I receive a phone call from Ken's wife (Dorthy England) saying she was in a major car accident and to call her cell. At this point, my bike has been sitting at the dealership for week and I kindly ask her to send a return label and get this fixed for me. Of course, this gimp (Dorthy) who has no business running an online business says she said she does not know how to but will send a polished one next day directly to to the Harley Dealer and please to return the wrong one on my dime. For the problems, she will give me a clutch inspection cover to cover my troubles/costs. Great no problem...
2 weeks pass, no shifter to the Harley dealer. Wont return calls/emails. Finally get though to them via eBay. The other owner (ken wilson) tells me they sold out of shifters to pay for their personal financial problems and to send the bad one back and he will polish it for free. I told him that the dealer was upset and they were going to start charing storage fees to me. I also expain that I've waited a month since my original purchase and I need this part now. Of course her has an attitude even though i have been patient and says they never planned on sending since they needed the money to liquidate their stock for the their personal problems.
Great, now they are liars with a terrible attitude. I explain if this does not get taken care of by the end of the week I will have the dealer repair and polish the shifter and proceed to chargeback the polish fee via my Credit Card. He Threatens me if I call the CC company that he will press charges even though he expects me to be stuck with a shifter that needs repairs.
So had to get it polished myself, pay harley an extra 1/2 hour labor to figure out how to install shifter with no instructions sent by B2R and had to call the credit card company.
Credit card company accepts the $120 chargeback and Ken Wilson sends a certified letter to me stating that if I do not pay him the $120 back plus fees he would turn this over to collections. My steller credit is worth far more than $120 and I paid him back along with posting many negative reviews for him.
It turns into a scam when Ken (after being paid back the $120 in full) sends an appeal to the credit card company saying the item was not sent back. They now accept his appeal and recharge me $120. So basically he scammed me out of $120, thus I'm paying an extra $120 for this shifter that was not even what I purchased.
Well, in the end, I hope customers will see that Ken Wilson and Dorthy England of Billet2Race.com are scum who blame others for their personal problems and have scammed a customer out of money. Please take this in consideration when purchasing products from Billet 2 Race. Good luck getting these scum to provide good customer service and stand behind their product.
Ken and Dorthy Also sell parts on ebay up the name YKMKEN64.
