I purchased a new harley motorcycle in 2011. When you purchase a new Harley from a dealership, they tried to see you as many accessories as they can of which some are: motor performance upgrades. They tell you that whatever they do is covered under Harleys warranty but I had motor problems with my 2011 while i was on a trip to Arizona. My motor went out on me. I was towed to the nearest Harley dealership. They wanted to remove my motor and send it to the company. I couldn't wait 2-3 weeks, so I hauled my motorcycle home to my local dealership. I had all sorts of problems getting my motorcycle fixed. I called the company 2-3 times, with no results. I eventually found out that the company had put a block on my warranty for my motor. I called to ask them why and they told me that anytime a dealer made a modification to the motor, that they had the option to void my warranty on the motor. This is something that either the dealer or the company does not tell you when you buy the product.
