Repair ripoff Failure to honor warranty

On Friday 09/17 I picked up my son's 1995 S-10 which had been "fixed" at this Goodwrench dealership over a period of some 10 days at a cost of $2,105.47 for a rebuilt transmission and other sundry related items (yoke, etc). On driving home within 50 miles from leaving the dealership the syncromesh on 4th gear started failing.

On Sunday 09/19 my son returned to school and after 150 miles from leaving home, he called to report that the transmission would no longer shift out of 5th and that the entire shift was shaking and loose. He managed to nurse the vehicle to his school.

On Monday morning 09/20 at opening (7:30AM) I called the dealership to report that there was a major problem with their "repair" work and left a message for the Service Consultant. One hour later nobody had bothered to call back. I called again and this time got hold of the person. I explained the problem and was told she would call me back detailing how they were going to take care of this. Around 2:30PM no return call had been received. This time I was told that they would only honor a warranty on the PARTS not on the labor and that it would cost me an additional $500 in labor to fix the vehicle. I explained this was entirely unsatisfactory in light of the fact the "repair" work started to fail within less than 24 hours.

I was told someone would call me back to try and detail what they could do. Sofar calls remain unanswered and no resolution has been proposed.
