My son and I brought a 2005 Buick Rendevous and 2005 Nissan Quest in March from McMint Used Auto Dealer Kings Highway and Foster Ave. Brooklyn, N.Y. We were told we had to purchase an extended warranty which was Wynn Extended Plus. 1 month later all the problems begin with the Buick front and rear end problems that the warranty did not cover.
In the same month the Quest needed to have a new muffler and some front end work again the warranty did not cover. We decided to take the cars back to the dealer because we felt they need to repair for the amount we paid for the cars and sold us a warranty that cover nothing. They sent us to one of their mechanics because we threaten to contact the finance company Credit Acceptance and inform them. The dealer told us that would make it bad for us because then the warranty would no longer repair our cars.
Highly angry and feeling ripped off the dealer sent us to another mechanic who made repairs on our cars but each time we were without our cars for 2 weeks or more. Rented a car for 5 days cost $260.00 Wynn on reimburses $60.00 continuously taking a lost each time 1 of the cars needed repairs.
In the 1 1/2 we have had the cars they have been in for repairs more than we drive them and each time we suffer without the cars for 2 or more weeks. Had Quest towed cost $80.00 Wynn only reimburses $30.00.
I hope their is and investigation done because honest people should not have to endure lack of courteous and not being compensated for the money they have spent and still spending for no coverage on majority of repairs needed on their vehicles. Also why dealers are telling customers they must purchase extended warranty in order to be financed
Technically the cars we purchased were severly probmatic and dealers did not honor the dealers warranty and the warranty honor practically nothing so additional $2000.00 per car was a total waste.
