I went to Codema Auto Sales on Saturday August 21. I asked the man how much was their cars. He said how much can you put down. I told him 500. He pointed to a red 2 door Ford. I told him is this all you have? He said yeah for 500 down this is all I have. Do you want to test drive it? We went into the office where he began the paper work. Asking about where I work and everything. So he says lets go to the bank to get your money.
While driving the vehicle it started smelling like burned. I asked him why was it smelling he said it was the brakes they were new and just put in. On the way back to the auto place, I smelled it again.
When we got to the auto place he took off one of the tires and cooled the brakes with some water. I finished signing the paper work. I immediately took the vehicle to the jiffy lube a few blocks away from the auto place. Before doing a oil change they told me that the engine was leaking and transmission. They changed the oil and filter. On the way back home a car pulled out in front of me and I tried to blow the horn it did not sound.
I went to Auto zone to buy one and the guy told me there was no horn installed in the vehicle. I took the car to a friend and let him drive it he is a mechanic. Upon driving a few feet he said he did not feel safe in the car it started knocking. He said the wheel barrings were damaged.
We agreed that on Monday I was to take the vehicle back and get my money. Monday August 23 we went back to Codema and told the salesman what was wrong with the car. He stared to get angry and defensive. My friend told me not to argue give him the keys and lets call the police. We called the police that arrived within 5 minutes. They were able to persuade the men to give me my money back.
Thing is they kept 50 dollars saying they had the title changed into my name and they had to pay to change it again. They lied the paper work had not been filed for one thing and I was to pay payments and the title is changed on the last payment.
