Sold a junk vehicle. Wouldn't own up to it. Blew me off like everything was O.K

I started a Day Care service and I needed a passenger Van for eight to pick-up and drop off kids.

I went to Vision Auto and saw a 96 Ford Windstar on the lot for $3200. My parents and I drove it around the block. It idled high. When we got back, we asked about the idling and he said it probably needed a tune-up and that his mechanic had not looked at the Van. That should have been a flag right then.

So we made an offer of 2600. It had 109,000 miles. He refused at first and started with the sales pitch. Then he gave in and said I will sell for $2600 AS Is.

Later on that day, the engine light came on. I got a tune-up and oil change and the engine light still came on. I took it to the Ford dealer, paid $100 for a diagnostic test and they said it wasn't worth fixing. I needed head gaskets and sensors to the tune of $2400 to get this piece of junk to run right

The next day it snowed and when I put on brakes, I slid into the intersection, so I had to get brakes immediately and an air throttle.

With the engine light coming on, it won't pass the E-check and I cannot get plates. So my mother calls the salesman and tells him the Van need major engine work and the Van is useless because it won't pass inspection. He says take it to my mechanic and it is guaranteed to pass. So we took it to Horn Auto and they replaced a sensor, another tune-up and got the E-check passed for one day to the tune of $405. The engine light came back on. At that point, my mother called and said you sold a piece of junk and asked for a refund. He said he would call back.

In the meantime, he calls me and says you can pick up your title like everything was O.K. I told him it wasn't running right and how much money I had put into it already and what else needed to be done and he said, "when you come in, I'll look at it." When I got there to pick up he acted like he was talking to someone on the phone, just handed me the title and blew me off.

He has basically said, yeah I sold you a bad vechcle. So what.
It was alright at $3200 but when it got down to $2600 it became an "AS IS" vehicle. How can that be? To me that's deceptive selling fraud or a rip off! What you see at Vision Auto, ain't what you get!

I need some advice or a good consumer attorney.
