I bought a GMC Yukon about 5 months ago from Hoselton Auto Mall. I dealt with Scott the infamous salesman to say the least! When we discussed the purchase, he told me and my husband that the vehicle was GM certified. When we asked what that means, he goes on to say that the vehicle goes through an extensive check list and how Hoselton spends $500 on every vehicle and they put "Brand New Brakes, liquids, Tires, and wipers, because they "Don't mess around".
When I examined the vehicle, I noticed a couple cosmetic issues that I wanted addressed. When we picked up the vehicle, they bring you in and make you sign all the papers and give you the keys before you see the vehicle. Then when you see the vehicle, nothing was done that they said they would do, other than a car wash. BUT WOW, they'll through in a free oil change! BIG FREAK'IN DEAL!
So, one month after I owned the vehicle, the service engine light goes on and I have to service the 4 wheel drive. I call up and bring the vehicle in and explain that the vehicle is GM Certified. They tell me that the internal computer needed an upgrade. Two days later, the service engine light comes on again and says "service 4 wheel drive". Again, take two hours off of work to bring the vehicle in again, this time they need to change the differentials and OH GEE that's NOT covered under the GM Certified. When I tell them that all the liquids were supposed to be checked and changed under this GM Certified check, Bottomline it wasn't done! $300 later! Oh by the way, Scott says they will throw a free oil change in, GETTING IT IN WRITING! Because he is a lier!
So now owning this vehicle for 5 months, and only 10,000 miles, I hear this screaching coming from the rear brakes. I take it in to another auto repair shop, who show me that the back brakes that were supposed to be BRAND NEW under the GM Certified bullcrap. The brakes were so bad that the pads were gone and scored the rotors so bad that they needed to be replaced. Again at $500 repair that OH GEE was supposed to be done but never was!
So if they tell you that all this crap has been done to your vehicle that you want to buy, you better have them show you! Because I guarantee it has not been done. They want you to trust them and will tell you about their reputation and how they sell thousands of cars bla, bla, bla!!! Don't believe them! They are in the business to sell cars, not make long lasting relationships.
