After having such a fantastic time at Founding Farmers' Spring Tasting, I thought I would go out on a limb and splurge on a cooking class (rather expensive for my budget) because I'd be learning from a distinguished chef and well, after such a great first experience, I should have nothing to worry about.

Apparently, this company chooses when to obey their own fine print and when not to. Back in I was able to get a refund on a coupon I had not used even though it was above and beyond their refund policy. Today, when I called that I would be 15-20 minutes late (10 mins before the class started), they put me on hold for 10 minutes, then told me I couldn't arrive late because of the fine print and that I forfeited my voucher. I asked to speak to a supervisor, was put on hold for another 5 minutes and for the next 5 minutes her and I were on the phone, I was talked down to, spoken over, interrupted, and called a liar when I told them that I know they've bent their 'policies' before. I was happy to reschedule or sneak in during a break as long as I got to cook with Chef Bernard for even a little bit. No cigar. Policy is policy - at least in this instance.in addition, I was told that I should have called 2 days prior if I had known that I was going to be late. What? Bad circumstances happen. But if I call 10 minutes prior for a 15-20 minute break? At the very least, it did not warrant such a condescending attitude.

Bummer. I am just so soured by the entire experience.
