World wide van lines
Moving scam

Our move with WWVL was the worst! They were 2 days late, took 3 days off in the middle (costing us extra rent. Came totally unprepared even though I had given complete information to their rep. When I employed them. Gave them itemized list of furniture and what all packing would need to be done. They came with no specialty boxes (lamp, mirror, pictures) no padded wraps for antique furniture, and piano. And in fact had not additional boxes and paper for wrapping. They came in a rent-a-truck that was not big enough when we were told that the company had their own moving vans. Even though I had given them a complete listing they estimated it as way low in weight and when I asked them about it they assured me they were specialists and knew what they were doing and that their low bid was very legitimate. There was considerable damage done to our property and I have tried for several months to file a claim with them. WWVL have not accepted any of my letters and the trucking co. That they had brokered to do the move, have accepted the letters but have never responded to me. There are no valid phone numbers to reach them on. They ended up charging us 3 times what the estimate was and of course would not unload until it was all paid. I have sent them a claim for $3373.00. Have been trying for 9 months to get some response from them. So what do I do?
WE are an elderly couple (79 yrs old) on a fixed income and do not have the money to hire an attorney.
