It appears platinum warrtany corp is involved in a fraudulent scheme by willful concealment of material facts regarding their business transactions and intent. The fact they changed the way claims are paid without notfication violates the basic contract completed on purchase. The changes are an attempt to force policy holders to use platinum warranty trade partners, who accept their coporate checks as payment, rather than the customers choice of repair facility. The method of payment forces the customer to pay for repairs up front and then wait an extended time period for reimbursement. The contract i have states i only have to have the repairs approved then pay the deductible, not pay up front. This practice borders on conversion (theft) as the up front payment is not avaliable in the form of spendable income for an unreasonable period of time. I also discovered the company argues over the hourly rate charged by dealerships and attempts to pass the difference between what they will pay and what the dealership charges on to the customer. The compant does not deal in good faith and appear to do almost anything possible to avoid payment. I can not find another warranty company that operates in this manner. I intend to see this incident through no matter the expense or time involved. All this stems from a simple waterpump replacement.
