1994 Mercury Sable was recalled in 1999 to repair defective mounts (#98S36). Repair was performed by dealer that is no longer in business. Mounts failed recently, due to corrosion of brackets, and engine rotated. Car was towed to trusted mechanic, who says that repairer left out the thick washer plates that were part of recall repair, allowing bolt heads to slip through brackets. Ford (corp.) says I must tow car to Ford dealer at my expense and pay $89 diagnostic fee, with no promise of reimbursements. How can I contact a Ford regional rep who has authority, who can either inspect car at mechanic's shop, or provide reimbursement? I can provide pictures!
