I feel I've been taken advantage of in every way after purchasing my car from Gabriel at Bertera. I was let to believe I was required to purchase gap insurance for $895, which I did, only to find out I already had gap insurance through my provider for only $17 per year. Additionally, I was given a 12.95% APR only to learn the bank only charged me 7%... The additional 5.95% was the dealer's markup and goes straight into their pocket... As well as the profit they made on the car, the profit they made by selling me gap insurance and the $495 they charged me as a "conveyance fee". I feel Bertera is gouging their customers.
Furthermore, they provided me a 3,000 mile warranty. While vacationing in VT last weekend I ran into an issue at 2,987 miles with the exhaust leaking very loudly at the manifold. I called to notify Bertera of the issue and that by the time I got the car back to their dealership in MA that I will have exceeded the 3,000 mile mark on the warranty. They were completely unsympathetic and said I could have the car towed (which I couldn't afford to do) or drive it, but if I exceeded 3,000 miles on the odometer they would not cover the repair.
In summary I feel that I am not valued as a customer and that I have been taken advantage of.
