3Js Auto Sales
Fraud

Feb not I purchased a used Pontiac Sunfire from John, who told me that there was nothing wrong with the car and it even had the motor replaced. The motor was never replaced and the car had almost 190,000 miles. I traded in my 1999 Chrysler Sebring for a 2000 Pontiac Sunfire. He gave me $500 credit for my car, I paid over $600 down in cash and agreed to pay $100 a month for 8 months. He lied on the paper work saying the total selling price was $800 for tax purposes, and he talked to my insurance agent on the phone and lied to her and told her the car was paid in full so that we wouldnt have to have full coverage.

The check engine light came on not even 10 minutes after we left the dealer. The oil light also came on. I took the car to Auto Zone to read the codes and it said it needed a catalatic converter, or there was oil leaking into the exhaust. I called John and he told me to take the car to his mechanic, which I did. This was a Friday, and the mechanic said he would look at it on Monday. The car overheated on Sat and I put 2 gallons of antifreeze and it just kept running out and overheating. I again took it to the mechanic and said I needed it fixed ASAP. He again refused until Monday. I called John and he said he was sick and didnt feel like dealing with this.

Since he committed FRAUD and lied to me about the condition of the car, lied about the sale price and lied to the ALLstate agent, I told him he could keep the money we paid and just return my car. He said "it doesnt work that way" and refused to give me back my car. I called the police who advised me that I could file fraud charges against him.

I NEVER would have purchased a car with almost 190,000 miles, or if I would have known that he clearly turned the check engine light off in order to sell the car since it came on before I even got home with it. The ABS light was on when I purchased it and he said it would go off and it was only on because he had just put brakes on the car. That was another lie. He also told me that the check engine light was probably on because the car was almost out of gas. The cars Check guages light also came on when the car overheated. The CD player doesnt work, and the passenger side door lock is broken.

I want my car back or this car replaced with another one, or I will pursue fraud charges and report him to every agency possible.
