Complaint / Review
Williams Transmission
Performed service 11/16. Provided Warranty. Work failed two months late

Took 2002 Hyundai Sonata due to check engine light on. Car was downshifting hard and struck in gear. Williams Transmisssion had our car for one week.

Called to see what the hold up was and was told they were extremely busy. Had instructed them that the car was needed for doctor appointments and had to have it fixed or would need to carry it somewhere else. Had a call the next day the car was ready. This was on 11/16.

Williams Transmission stated they repaired the problem and provided us with a one year or 12,000 mile warranty..

Yesterday my car downshifted hard once again the check engine light is on. Called Williams Transmission back and was told that he went out of business at the end of the year.

Now he had just done this work for us in November so why would he offer us this warranty knowing he intended to go out of business the following month.

We are now out $449.08 for service that didn't even last two months and a car that is not shifting properly. My wife is on disability so i am the only one working and she has extensive medical care due to failed back surgery. I need a car I can rely on and feel that Williams ripped me off.
