AC Transmission performed a repair on my 1993 Suburban. I took it to them because it seemed to be slipping a little in overdrive. They determined that I needed a new transmission.
Then they determined that I needed a new torque convertor.
Then they determined I needed a rebuilt transfer case.
The bill came to $3549.00. I picked up the vehicle on Friday, March 23. As soon as I got on the highway, smoke poured from under the vehicle.
I immediately took the next exit, transmission fluid was pouring out. I called the shop which is supposed to be open til 6:00 P.M. No one answered.
I was left stranded on the highway. They apparently never even road tested the vehicle before releasing it. Now, I have to pay to have it towed back down there. The repair was much more than the estimate.
For $3,549.00 you would expect it to at least make it home. They apparently do very shoddy work and I will never do business with them again.
