I took my vehicle to Cottman Transmission because my transmission was slipping. They told me it would be $200.00 to diagnose the problem. I agreed to that, but when they called me back and told me that it would cost $2300.00 I told them that I was coming to pick up my vehicle.
When I got there my transmission had not been put back into my vehicle. They were telling me that my vehicle was not going to run if I came and picked it up. I wanted my vehicle anyway so that I could take it somewhere else.
They called my husband and told him the same thing, as well as telling him that it would cost an additional $200.00 to put the transmission back into the vehicle. He agreed to getting the work done. They guaranteed their service by saying we would not be on the side of the road.
Four months later my transmission starting slipping again. I returned my vehicle because it was still under warranty. They said that electronics parts were not covered under the warranty, but that they were going to fix the problem anyway.
They held my vehicle for 3 weeks, telling me all kind of lies about how they had to fix the problem free of charge. Also telling me that they could not return my vehicle to me running in the same condition.
When they returned my vehicle, it was runnung in worser condition than when I dropped it off. Three days later my vehicle wouldn't do anything, leaving my kids and I stranded on side of the road.
