My name is Peter. I am an international student of Florida International University. I came to the states for only one year and like most college students, I have to work hard to pay my rent, bills and foods. Since the public transportation is hard to be used here, I was sharing a car with my friend. And one of my dreams was buying my own car and drive to school like other students. Finally, after one year's hard working and saving, I went to see my own car. I walked in a car dealer called U-Ride Motors, located at 2160 NW 79 ST., Miami, FL, and met this car dealer guy: SAMMY BROWN
You will find this Sammy Brown very friendly.instead of working for the car dealer, he acts like he is working for the customers. He cuts the price for you, promises to fix the paint scratches for you. But in reality, he is the biggest liar in the world and he absolutely deserves this name.
So this BLW. (Biggest Liar in the World) Sammy suggested me a 94 mustang. Honestly the car looks very nice. Blw. Sammy told me the engine and transmission is very good, and when I was thinking to take the car to a garage to check, he convinced me to trust his mechanic using all the lies (such as he was working here for 13 years and never had a problem for customers, he want to give me a good car because he know it is hard for students, lie, lie and lie.). He cut the price from 3999 to 3500, and offered me a 5-year bumper and bumper warranty for $399.
So we set down, signed the contract. Thing seemed go very smooth. At the end, he asked me to sign a SOLD AS IS paper. I questioned him, he gave me another warranty paper and told me he will offer me this warranty separately. Again, I trusted him.
After I signed the contract, he told me he can paint the scratches off for free. But I had to wait 2 days. I signed the contract on 04/05. And then when I went pick up my car, he told me the car was not ready. And I called and went again and again, he kept giving me bullshit reasons, such as the paint was not dry, and the truck was not coming, this shit and that shit.
And finally, I got my car on 04/17, almost two weeks later. He did fix the scratches, but guess what? I drove the car for a few miles, and it stopped right in the middle of the 163rd street when I was waiting for the red light and I saw smoke came out of the engine and the air filter. Since I couldn't start the car any more, I had to pull over by foot and called towing company. And even the towing girl told me to be aware of this dealer.
When I got back to the dealer, BLW. Sammy changed his friendly face, he told me the engine air pump and the cooling system is bad and I had to paid 1000 for the repairing. He told me the warranty does not cover that part of repairing and I need to pay at least 50% of repair cost. At that point I was totally mad, I waited 2 weeks for the car and it couldn't even be driven home. Finally BLW. Sammy agreed to have my car repaired at no cost by 04/21. But when I got home, I was shocked: While I showed all the paper to Sammy and arguing with him, he stole the signed warranty page and replaced it with an unsigned warranty paper!!! CAN YOU IMAGE THAT??? Now I don't believe I can ever receive a repaired car any more.
I am consulting with my lawyer to file a lemon car case. The SOLD AS IS was totally a trap, but as a dealer, they must tell the major defeat of the car before it is sold to the customer. U-RIDE MOTORS didn't do that, and Sammy didn't do that. They must know exactly what kind of car they had but they lied. Besides the lying, there are also dirty stealing. What can I say? I don't think I can get the warranty paper back, but I do believe there is still god in this world.
