February was a wonderful time to purchase a good used vehicle... Or so I thought. Being that it was convenient, I chose Autoplex 2000. Ishould Have known that this was a joke dealership when I was sitting in the saleman's office and he answered the phone as someone else. I commented about that and he lead me to believe this was an everyday occurance. Strike 1.
Ok... I leave with my vehicle and decide to take my family out to eat that night. Not even 50 miles down the road and I have a flat tire. Well... Thast is ok things happen Right? I go to get the jack and tire tool. WOW this model has the new hidden model jack and wrench... Or did they forget to put that in the car? So, I call a friend to bring a tire tool and jack. That is when wer realize that the wheels have locking lugnuts. Needless to say they forgot to include the special tool to remove them.
Next day I call the dealer to come pick up the vehicle to fix the problem.By the way the tires were "NEW" according to the salesman. They were well worn on the inside of them. The dealer sends their mechanic to come and he cant fix it. 2 trips later they finally get the car back to the lot. They bought a new set of tires for the car and a jack and 4-way tire tool. You say great right? READ ON!!!
Well here I am a month later and i begin to notice things happen. CHeck engine light comes on, transmission slipping, and a body repair friend notices where the car had been wrecked.
I go to carfax.com's website to confirm some things about this car and there have been 9 things done to this car. 9 SEPERATE things.
Then the next day I have a police officer advise me that my temporary tags are expired. This is due to the fact that the salesman that answers to another name put the date I purchased the vehicle on the tag instead of 60 days from the date of purchase.
I went by the service department to have all this checked out and to get a loaner car that according to my 2 year extended warranty would be covered. I left with my car and nothing fixed. I call the next day to talk directly to the HEAD HONCHO Wade. "Sir" he says, "We dont loan out cars, but, we just started renting them out today. You can rent one. "That is not what my warranty says. Strike 2.
I am already paying for this car and the special warranty, Why should I have to pay for a rental? Needless to say I have not heard back from the HEAD HONCHO. Whats surprising is that when they had to replace my tires they put me in a loaner car then.
Funny how they do forget these things. Be sure to check for updates as this is probably going to get ugly.
