I was contacted via email by AAA Auto Network in response to an inquiry for a item I had placed on Automotix.net, saying they had the part. I called them, left a message and Dontell George (DJ) called back. We discussed the part, condition, color, shipping, etc for several minutes and I then ordered the item, paid by credit card, and was told their shipping department would contact me the first of the week. On Monday I received a verification call from someone and was told I would be contacted via email when the part shipped. After that I heard nothing from anyone.
I have called both AAA Automotive Network several times, always getting a voice mail box. I left messages but no calls were ever returned. I emailed their customer service department but emails also were unanswered. I emailed Dontell George and that too went unanswered.
Bottom line, no part, no way to cancel or ask for money back, and my credit card charged for the transaction. I am now in process of filing complaints with my credit card company, BBB, police and state officials in LA and investigating how to file an internet fraud claim.
Beware! This company and individual apparently have a history of fraud and theft. Their internet site is very slick looking, touts over 30 years of experience, etc (same verbage found under another company name which Dontell George (DJ) ran, and also had similar complaints). These people are not forthcoming, honest, reliable or legitimate in any way that I can attest to.
