Not Interested In Customer Satisfaction

Tread Quarters were all once independent dealers who were bought out by Monro Muffler and Brake out of Rochester, NY. I worked in various locations in Hampton roads for more than twenty years and quit shortly after the buy out.

The problem began after the buy out. Monro could care less about customer satisfaction or it's employees. Their only concern is the bottom line. Most of their employees work in excess of sixty hours a week and are under constant pressure to perform no matter how well you are performing. This alone puts the employees in a position against the customers. Imagine hav ing to wait on a customer just after being reamed by your supervisor.

As a store manager, I won many awards for my performance over the years under the old management, yet as far as Monro was concerned I was a bum. I can count the times on one hand that I failed to get a monthly bonus before the buy out. I never got one with the Monro pay plan. (The pay plan that doesn't pay), as most managers referred to it. I guess they were all bums too.

Don't take your car to Tread Quarters for anything. The dealer will probably be cheaper and you will certainly get better customer service
