On October 28th my 87 Nissan Maxima, broke down on me on the 405 freeway going southbound, I contacted A-J Tow services to assist me in towing my car to a mechanic shop I had been dealing with for at least a year and found them to be, the best around, my area any how, the Nissan Maxima was towed to Discount Auto Services and Repair in Downey, CA. And I was advised that my car would be checked out.
Later that day I recieved a call from Discount Auto Service and Repair Mr. David Awada who is known to be the owner of the buissness, Mr. David Awada has several mechanics working for him, I gave the owner the ok to fix my vehicle, and he did nothing, but linger on on how expensive it would be, well this was my only transportation to work, I am a family man and the only one working in the house hold, so I need my vehicle to be fixed, David offered a solution, for me to buy a vehicle off of him, a Ford Tourus 92, I had no other choice, he sold it to me for $1200.00 dollars in which I payed in full, well mean while my vehicle was still in the shop, I never recieved a work order or a receipt, this I new would be a big problem, on a Monday I recieved a call from a mechanic that works as a mechanic
in Discount Auto, stating that he is the transmission specialist, he requested $350.00 Dollars for the repairs needed for the Nissan Maxima, plus $30.00 Dollars for three seals that were needed, well this was payed to him in cash, with many witnesses, and with the ownwers consent, that my vehicle would be repaired,
Well its been over (2) months and my transmission still is not fixed, the mechanics name is Memo, well I done some research, and I found out that he does not have a certification or even, legal documentation to work in the USA, I recieved this information from his co-worker Mell. When I brought this to the ownwer attention Mr. David Awada, that Memo is working without any certifications, and has no documentation to work in the USA, the owner all of a sudden states he doesn't work for Discount Auto Service, I stated why is he in a Dicount Auto uniform, also why would a non employee work in a mechanic shop. (Let the record show that the owner allows this un-documented mechanic to live in a back room in the mechanic shop) Till this day my vehicle is still parked in front of the mechanic shop with out even the old transsmission, my vehicle has been broken into several times urinated in, items stolen, this is truley a nightmare, I have contacted the State Dept. Of Consumer Affairs there were very happy to take my coplaint,
NOTE=I have done some additional research and found out that this buissness has had some problems with The States Lic. Bureau, I have requested for my money to be returned or my vehicle to be fixed, there still has not been a resolution... This is my story, I will be seeking a civil torat action... There is no justice.
