Jake West, the owner of West Auto Sales in Davenport Ia, sold my 18 yr. Old a vehicle with a faulty transmission. He knew it had a bad transmission but did not disclose that information. After our son took the car to a mechanic to check it over before purchase the mechanic said a transmission code came up. He then told the dealer that and the dealer said the mechanic lied. There was nothing wrong with it. He purchased the car and 3 days later had problems with it stalling out. He took it back to them and they said it was fine. This happened 2 more times then it started leaking transmission fluid. When we called the owner he said he didn't know what we were talking about. He also said that the mechanic always lies. The mechanic is a personal friend of ours and does work for trade so I know he wasn't lying. End result, our son has no car and Jake West is refusing to help out. Don't ever buy anything from West Auto Sales in Davenport or Jake West in general.
