My transmission failed on my 05 Ford Taurus at aprx 38,500. Therefore I took it to AAA Discount Transmission of Hendersonville, Tn to have it repaired. I took my vehicle to the shop to have the repairs done aprx Sept 1st of 2006. I paid in full $1785.00. The vehicle was returned to me after I paid in full only to have mechanical failure again about 6 days later. The company gave me a 12,000/1 year mile warranty but that doesn't mean it should take a year to repair the car.
I called the company and they had their towing service to pick up the vehicle. About 3 weeks later, after stating they kept receiving misdeliveries, I finally told them look I must have a vehicle. The mechanic told me the vehicle had every gear except the 3rd gear so he released the car to me. I drove the car aprx 7 miles and the transmission starting to slip. I took the car back to the shop the very next day and dropped it off.
I filed a complaint with bbb and bbb informed me that this company has 7 complaints within the last 36 months. BBB also stated this company generally does not respond to their correspondences and when I called BBB back sure enough the company had not responded to my complaint. The company eventually did give me a loaner car that by the way is nowhere near comparable to my car. I also filed a complaint with consumer affairs.
Last I spoke to the mechanic and he stated that more that likely I would not get my money back because I was given a loaner car and a warranty. My coworkers aunt was ripped off by this company several years ago. I called the Hendersonville police dept and a deputy stated someone complained about this company a few months ago.
This company is unprofessional, uncompassionate, unknowledgeable and may take a year to fix your transmisison. I suggest you find a company that has knowledge to fix your transmission.
