I bought a sound system for my car from Circuit City. I purchases a package including 2 10 inch speakers, a speaker box, an amplifier, and wires. It all came to about $1000. I had the technitians install my sound sytem for free, as part of the cost of the merchandise. I was promised that the installation was guaranteed for as long as I owned my car. Well, within one month of light use, I was down to the factory speakers, and only one of my sub-woofers was working. I took it back to Circuit City, and they said that somebody had toyed with the wiring, causing the $500 amplifier to be destroyed along with the $150 speaker. They refused to take any action because I could not prove that it was thier mistake. They said that thier 'profesional technitians' would never make such an obvious mistake, so it must have been tampered with by me, thus voiding the warranty. Well, I never touched the speakers let alone play with the wires. So I got screwed out of $750. I really cannot afford that, I am a college student, and it took me a REALLY long time to save up that money, and now it is just thrown away thanks to Circuit City. If you buy anything from them, DO NOT allow them to install it.
