To customer service representative, KIA international
To whom it may concern. Your website will not let me register for customer comments, so I'm sending you this email. Today I made a visit to the local Kia dealership in San Antonio, Texas. I went to World Car Kia, off of Hwy I35 South at Zarsamora. I went there with the intent to buy my son his second Kia. (My wife has an 2001 Optima and my son has a 2000 Sephia).
We met with a very nice salesman, who tried his hardiest to make me happy, however when he would go to his financial manager the situation would become hopeless. This person (financial manager) was asked to attempt to provide the lowest payment possible. His answer was that a vehicle with a financing of $380.00 per month on the amount of $6000.00. The young sales person attempted twice to approach me with a deal, both of which was ridiculous for the amount I ask to finance.
After playing the game there and wasting several hours of my time, I left. I was so mad that I had thought about getting rid of my Kia's all together. But after I calmed myself, I saw no reason to get rid of one of the best cars I have ever owned. I went to another dealership on the other side of San Antonio and asked for the same car and to finance the same amount. I
'm about to purchase the same car, with the same amount financed at $130.00 per month! What a difference! The same amount for the same term and the payment was less than half of what the first dealership was attempting to sale me the car for. The only difference between the dealers was their financial manager - the second one was honest. I feel that you as a company should take full responsibility for any dealership actions, in this case attempted swindle!
As a military member I don't have alot of money to throw around, and it is my full intent to spread the word out about World Car Kia to all of the local bases so other military members can avoid them too. I would like a written response for this, as to what actions or in-actions you feel are necessary. I'm waiting to purchase my son's new car, and will continue to wait until some sort of response if at all.in the past I've been very pleased with KIA, but however if you condone such actions as those by World Car KIA then you don't need my money or any other military members money.
