Last Monday I came home to find a UPS missed delivery tag on my door. I checked off the box that said to please leave the package. On Tuesday my spouse stayed home all day with the door cracked open to wait for the driver. He never came. On Wednesday I arrived home to find a tag on my door saying that I had missed the final delivery attempt and the package was not left because a signature was required. I phoned the sender and they said they did not request a signature. I later received a voicemail from the local UPS hub stating I could either come pick the package up by the 9th or have it delivered to another address. I called to ask to have it delivered to my office and was told it was not possible. I was also told that the DRIVER decided I needed to sign for the package - despite the fact that I had clearly checked off the box to waive the signature and have the package left at my door. I am so frustrated with UPS - I Will NEVER ship or receive anything from them ever again. I will refuse packages delivered by this service and insist that anything being sent to me be sent by the reliable literate folks at the USPS. Postal employees can at least follow directions.
