I got into a car accident during the winter. I took the car to bmw in watertown ct, and all the mechanical repairs were done there.insurance paid them and i paid the deductible, yet they provided me with a customer discount and only ended up paying part of it. Bmw recommended aplex for the body repairs. They were a supplemental claim. Took the car to them. They took a long time to fix my car, not only that but at the time i went to pick the car up, they indicated that if i want my car back i needed to pay $300. They claimed that the insurance did not pay them that amount just yet. I needed my car so i figured that the insurance would reimburse me, and paid them.
Liberty mutual, did not reimburse me the money because they indicated that aplex told them that the money they charged me was the deductible that i needed to pay.
How can i pay a deductible twice? No one answer my question, and aplex refused to return my money under the assumption that it was part of the deductible and i had to pay. BBB has not yet resolve this issue.
Please whatever you do, do not use them, specially if you are a woman. They do take advantage of you. They did it with me.
