Well, I purchased a car from this car lot, I should have known that they were shady from the get go, when I called about a 02 Chevy Cavalier on thier lot, Debbie Self told me it was 1500.00 down, which I had the cash for that, drove over there, called the rental car company where my rental was and where to pick it up since it was my last day having the vehicle... I got there, and after signing all the paperwork... And handed then 1500.00 in cash, she then said "well, the car is 2000.00 down, so you will have special 100.00 a week payments until this is met, then your car payment will be due 50.00 every week/100.00 bi-weekly. Every Thursday, I took my payment over to them and dropped it in the night drop box, when I would call them to ask them for a reciept or to send me something stating that I had paid my payment, they would tell me that the computer was acting up and they couldn't print anything out, and I have no proof that I even paid because my money order reciepts were in the console of the car...
Well, no sooner than I got it home, I test drove it there for about 1/2 hour, it ran good, ran very good on the way home, I got it home an started havin trouble with it, took it to tire discounters and paid to have it fixed, the tire was 26* off... And that was causing it to have all sorts of problems with sensors and things. No big deal, it was fixed, then I started smelling oil burning, and it had a fairly decent oil leak coming from the back of the motor... I called Debbie Self and told her about it (mind you this is the same day that I bought the car) and she told me that they would not make it right and fix it that I had to pay to have it fixed. Fine whatever... So, one evening about 10pm... Someone was beating on my door, and it was the tow truck guy they also have a towing business, and he had an order to repo my car... Of course I fought him on that and took off, because I know I wasn't behind on my payments, I then called the owner of the company, who informed me that... There is another owner in the company, and that they put a restraining order on him, because he had caught Debbie Self and Lee the tow truck driver stealing money from the company, and he threatened to take them to court. He also then informed me that I am not the only person that they have done this to, and that they are lyin and they are scammers.
So, I called the next day and I told them that I would be sending my payments in from now on, and they said that was fine. The next thing I know, they are saying that they didn't recieve the payments, and the money orders have not been cashed. I kept in close contact with the car lot to find out if they had recieved my payments and they were still saying no. Well, they then again, tried to come and take my car... And I managed to get away again, I mean why let them take my car, when I was up to date with my payments, that's not right. Well, they ended up getting my landlords number from one of the people at my apt. Complex, they called my landlord and told her that I did all kinds of property damage, so, therefore, she called me and advised me that she was calling the sheriff, and that if there was any damage she would be pressing charges, so about an hour later, she called me back an told me that there was no damage and that she was sorry, I understand her situation, but, they then lied to her and told her that I haven't been making my payments... I then had to show her the proof with the money order reciepts. But she then told me that they had upser her enough with that, that she asked me to please move.
So now, I have to move... I had talked to Lee on Tuesday June 22, and told him that I would be bringing the payment over on Thursday which is my scheduled payment day anyhow, and when I come there, I wanted reciepts for every payment that I had made. He told me that was ok... So... I was at my apt packing my things and had all my clothes, all of my work boots and shoes in my car, along with my medicine and everything getting ready to take another load into town, and a tow truck comes that wasn't even from the car lot, they hook to my car and I ran outside to find out what was going on and the guy immediatly started calling me a f'n bitch and telling me that I shoudl have made my car payment and blah blah blah, he was already hooked to my car so I couldn't get away so I tried to get my stuff out of my car that I needed and the guy that was with him jumped in the car and rolled up the windows and locked the doors so I couldn't, so I went to get in the trunk and I had the lid open and while I was grabbing something the tow truck driver jumped on top of the lid with all of his body weight, mind you he's 6'3 and about 250, slammed the trunk lid down on my arm and wouldn't let me go until I started screaming in pain because my arm was being crushed by his weight. He started yelling at me you can't prove I done anything you stupid bitch, I have witnesses, well come to find out he had paid my neighbors 20.00, to not say a word if anything happened and to also call them when my car was parked out front.
So the car lot tow truck finally showed up and told me he would come back in 15 minutes for the key and he would let me get my stuff out of the car... He never showed back up an now he won't answer his phone and when I call they hang up on me, I have no clue where my car is or my belongings that was in the car. They wont' tell me where I can go and pick my property up. I filed a sheriff report on what he done to me, I mean what justifies a man of his size to slam a trunk lid down on my arm like that when I was just trying to get my clothes out and my work boots for the next day? So now, not only did I get wrote up at work for not having my work boots, but I may lose my job because I have no way to get back and forth to work, how is this justified? All of my money order stubs are in the console of the car and Im sure that when they find them they will destroy them, so there is no proof of anything. I would NOT reccomend anyone to purchase a car from KING MOTOR CENTER... EVER! They are truely scam artists and they don't care if someone get's hurt or injured as long as they can get money from someone... And then screw them in the end.
