A while back my Wife and I purchased a 2005 Dodge Magnum SXT AWD from the sales team at Lofink Ford. We were looking for an all wheel drive vehicle with 4 doors and it seemed like the Dodge Magnum would serve our purposes nicely. Upon test driving the vehicle, immediately I noticed that the T.P.M.S. (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) Indicator light was illuminated on the dash panel. This was to be addressed prior to delivery of the vehicle and a purchase agreement was signed. The vehicle was to be made available for delivery after three days, however we ended up waiting over a week. I called repeatedly to verify the delay and was lied to daily! First I was told the computer which prints out the used car inspection was down. Then I was told they were waiting for parts for their computer, and several other excuses that didn't make sense.
Several days after the vehicle was delivered I noticed that they had not only cleared the code in the vehicle's computer and dash board light, but they had completely disabled the T.P.M.S. System entirely! And removed all four wheel tire pressure monitors! Being an ASE certified mechanic myself, I knew that they had purposely deceived me rather than legitimately repair it. Undoubtedly, they scanned the vehicle's computer and it reported a bad or broken sensor, and they did not want to spend $100 or so to replace it. So instead they removed and disabled one of the critical safety features of the vehicle and replaced them with generic rubber valves. I made several attempts to resolve this with sales but to no avail. I will never purchase a vehicle from this company and would not recommend them to anyone. This company in particular takes advantage of the many military personnel from Ft Drum.
