I bought a used car from carriage kia in gainsville ga on jan 25 i was assured by the salesman that the car had undergone a 140 point inspection that the dealer uses before offering used autos.
I had only had the car 20 days when it broke down it had to have about $600 worth of wrk done to it. That was not covered by the extende warranty i purchased. When i pick up my car the service tech informed me that my car also needed $30081 more work done to it that would not be covered. And told me that the car was not inspected before i bought it.
Upon reading over my warranty and speaking to the warranty company. I was informed that the reason the repairs were not covered was because the car was not inspected by the dealer.
I spoke with the general manage tim rutherford who assured me it wouldn't be a problem on 2/25. I spoke with him everyday until 3/21 he put me off, told me he was working, on it said the bank was giving him trouble, and that he just had to find a car. On 3/20 he told me he was trading for me a car as we spoke and would contact me by noon on 3/22. At 1 p. M on this day i called him, he siad he needed to call me back in just a min at 2 p. M i called him and he said i can't do anything have a nice day.
I'm a single mother trying to better myself and can't afford to be taken advantage of like this. I explained this all to the salesman when i went in to the dealer. I went to a dealer because i thought i would be better off to pay a little more and have someone who would stand behind their word. I would have been better off to have bought one off the side of the road at least i would not be making payments on a junker.
