I towed my Honda to AAMCO for them to fix the cables on my gears. They called to tell me a bolt fell into the transmission and they would have to take it apart to get to it. What was to have cost me $400 had now turn into $800. Then they call and tell me the transmission needs more work than they originally thought. Estimating the repairs at $1600.
I tried to get my car back and was told I would still have to pay $500 for the work they had done. Ripoff. Now having put me in a corner, I agreed to have them finish the job. After having my car for a week, I picked it up only to drive 30 miles and it quit working. After paying $1600 you would think it should run like new.
I take very good care of my car and I am absolutely sure they are responsible for why my car quit working. They are wiping their hands clean of this ordeal and claiming the car had too many miles on it and that is why it quit working. Amazing how they pushed me to rebuild the transmission without hesitation on how old the vehicle was.
I am extremely dissappointed with AAMCO. I work hard to provide for my four children and my home only to have been taken by AAMCO for $1600. That is just NOT right.
