I took my 2000 mitsubishi galant for a transmission problem at aamco of fresno. I don't know much about transmissions, but i think $3400 dollars to rebuilt a transmission and install new mounts is way too expensive. I asked around and many people say that a rebuilt transmission and labor should cost around $$2500, but i'm being charged $900 more than that. I only went to aamco because they offer free towing and financing because i am aware that the repair of a transmission can be costly.
Can anyone tell me if thats way too much for a rebuilt transmission?
