I, like all on here feel that AmeriCredit uses your hardships to benefit their company.
I did not have a job for 3 months and got past due on my payments. I started an allotment from my military allotment to make the payment on the 3rd month but it still put me two months past due on my payments. I pay $519.00 on a 2001 Ford. I asked if the late payment could be added to the balance of my payment because I have no way of paying the late payments. They said no!
I received a call today saying I have to pay the past due amount or at least 1/2 and make payments to catch up along with my allotment payment. I am having a hard time just buying food and keeping a roof over my head but they said if 1/2 is not paid by this Monday at 4pm the car will be reposessed.
I ask if I could pay $1,000 on this coming Friday and they said that would be too late. The $1,000 would make my past due amount paid all but $38.00 but they said no.
I am paying twice what the car is worth but they don't want to help people in trouble, only use their hard times to get them into a car knowing that their credit is already messed up. If anything happens that put them late on their payment they would not try to work with them at all.
