Auto One Acceptance Corp
Ripoff deceptive company

Revenge is a dish that is best served cold and being that its hotter than July, may I suggest you get your parkas ready. This company is the lowest in marginal finance market. Established in 1988, they for some reason cannot seem to get to bottom line, customer service.

My odyssey began in 1996 when I was forced into a car purchase. When I first purchased the car, something told me that I needed to keep my guard up because within two days of driving the car off lot, I received a phone call at my place of business to verify I was employed.in naivet, I dismissed it as being routine.in the spring of 1997 I had an appendectomy and was out of work for a month. However, before I went under the knife, I made sure my car payment was current by sending them a check. Needless to say, the check got lost at their Il payment location called Lock Box and thus I was forced into making two payments.

From there, we began with our first dispute. They loose the check, I write a new one, I fall behind, they find the check and cash it after I canceled it. Does any of this sound familiar. Lets also discuss how they so graciously offer five extensions during the life of a loan. Again, in 1997 I inquired about the number of extensions. I was told a loan of up to 60 months was eligible for 5 extensions during the life of the loan. Mathematically, and by their in house standards, that calculates to one extension per 12 months. Right? Wrong.in 1997 and 1998 I received extensions.

In 1999 and up to 2001 I did not receive the extensions which according to their personnel I was eligible for. Now admittedly, here is where I admit I should have been more responsible. I should have kept a copy of the contract because I am sure its written in their literature. When I made numerous requests for a copy of the contract, never did it come. Conveniently, when I asked for the extension, the rules changed. So I asked them to provide me with a copy of the new law, new literature anything to solidify their story. Of course, it never materialized.

As anyone else who has been through this type of story, the phone starts to ring over and over and over again. The threats come to take your vehicle. Mind you, I was consistently one month behind for a period of three years. How does this assist ones credit? It tanks it. Well finally when I finished paying off the note, I get a congratulatory call saying the car is paid for and all I would need to do now is pay off the balance. Without saying, I was not too happy.

As I finalize this report lets put together how this scam makes serious money for multiple people. The car dealer gets money because they sell a car. They get additional money by charging the highest interest possible. The finance company gets their money back via payments and interest multiplied over the course of the loan plus additional fees, and a kickback from Western Union via quick collect.in short, this company needs to be sued.

Their information is false, misleading, deceptive and their methods are downright surreptitious. If ever there is a class action suit filed against this company, someone please email me.
