I took my commercial motor vehicle to Harold's Frame Shop in Novi, MI to have it gone over, and any mechancial errors corrected as i drive coast to coast in it. I had heard decent reports on the workmanship of this shop. I had a 3 axle alignment done, and various other things taken care of. There was a rattle in the front end, their mechanic told me it was a loose shock, charged me 28.00 to tighten it. Their alignment equipment is outdated, and I had to have another alignment done on the truck in New Braunfels, TX, I was forced into buying new steer tires to the tune of 800.00 when I got home. I took the truck in for its 120 day inspection and discovered that BOTH front shocks had to be replaced, one was hanging by one screw, and the other one was almost as bad, they had never been tighten! It cost me hundreds of dollars extra over and above what I had already paid for work they were supposed to have done.
I also had a battery box mounted on the side of the frame, and this was bolted on crooked, but torqued to look straight! The manager at the Novi, MI store smiled and said that's too bad, deal with it. So I am.
This business refused to compensate me in any way for all the expense of dealing with them. I called the owner at the store in Redford but recieved no assistance there either.
