Tires Plus in Warner Robins Georgia began servicing my car earlier this year, the first time I just took it in for an oil change. After I got the car back at times it would not start. I took it in a second time for the idle arm to be replaced.
Then all of a sudden everything started going wrong, as if not starting at times wasn't enough. The a/c went out, the heater coil went out, I had the tires replaced and now it makes a loud noise when turning, stopping or taking off. I did take the car in for a/c service — first they told me it would be over $200 - they called back and said $275 - of course at that point I said ok because the summers here in GA are sweltering.
The total bill ended up over $300. I had a/c for about a week. I reported this problem & told them I did not feel I should have to pay additional $ since it wasn't fixed correctly the first time. Sure enough they looked at it, said they fixed it, but guess what it lasted 2 days this time! (also the h. Lights would not go out after they worked on it.)
The only thing the Tires Plus Rep could say is that my car has a lot of miles on it & it may have sprung another leak - funny he said that the first time I went in too like he just knew that I was going to have to bring it back.
Three other people in my office of twelve have had similar incidents. Their cars had minor problems and they took them to Tires Plus and ended up with major problems. For instance a simple oil change turned into an engine replacement, all because they didn't put enough oil back in the car.
There are many more & I will be reporting them to the BBB & anyone else I can think of. Is SABOTAGE the correct word to use? Sounds like it to me! I got a new mechanic & have had no problems with his work & no continued problems after his work!
