I was instructed to take the rental car to the Auto Drop (generic place for all car rental companies) located at the Miami Airport.
I was told that the cost of this drop-off fee would be $15.00
On my way to the Auto Drop, I noticed the actual "Enterprise Car Rental" compound, so I turned into it and talked to the intake person. I asked him that I was originally instructed to go to the generic Auto Drop and would it be okay to leave the car at Enterprise and save the $15.00? He answered yes and made a statement "why not?" "I don't know why the Enterprise Rep in Coconut Grove referred me to the Auto Drop.
When my credit card statement arrived, the original amount increased by $50.00!
I called Coconut Grove, stated my problem and they replied that it cost them $50.00 to get the car back to where it belonged. I tried to talk to Patty, the Representative who handled my transaction; however, she never made an attempt to return my call.
To make matters worse, Patty promised me a clean car and this car had stained carpets and a tell tale smell.
This incident has really made me feel like I've been taken advantage of and gives the message that Enterprise doesn't not care about its' customers.
Can you intervene for me?
