Bay ridge volve - american, inc.inside job involving the swiping of registration stickers and license plates

Someone who works at Bay Ridge Honda, specifically in their service department is a crooked scam artist! Recently, I had my car serviced at their service center in Bay Ridge Brooklyn. When I came back to retrieve my car, I noticed that someone had removed my registration sticker. After making a complaint about this and refusing to drive away without my registration sticker, I had no alternative but to appear at the DMV to get a new registration sticker. Thinking nothing of it at the moment, I decided to drop the issue. Approximately one month later, on June 20, I was involved in a motor vehicle accident. My front bumper dislodged itself from the vehicle, but I was able to put the bumper into my car, assuming that it could be repaired. Although the bumper was off the car, the license plate was still screwed on to the bumper and remained intact. I then brought my vehicle back to Bay Ridge Honda for repairs. When I came back to retrieve my vehicle in July (the repairs were extensive), I noticed that the license plate was not put on to the new bumper. I immediately made a complaint about this and informed the manager that although their video surveillance camera did not depict my front license plate on the vehicle, it was because the license plate was still on the bumper, which was now inside the vehicle. I was told that they would try to find my bumper and that I should call back.

After several phone calls, and tickets/summonses issued by the police for not having a front license plate, I was told that Bay Ridge Honda could not locate my license plate and that they were not going to take responsibility for the lost plate. I then made a Police Report on August 15 and advised the police officers of the above. I was told that I had to surrender my remaining plate and that the DMV would issue new plates.

On September 10, I appeared at the Honda Dealer again, complaining of the tickets I received due to their negligence. Since my car was due for an oil change, coupled with the fact that I had to remove the remaining license plate in order to get new plates, I left the vehicle at Honda and reported to the DMV on the morning of September 11 with the remaining single plate. I was issued new plates, and the DMV kept my old plate.

On Wednesday, October 21, as I was on the NYC Parking Violations website to pay off the tickets I was issued for not having my license plate, I noticed that a vehicle fitting the same exact description of my vehicle (2005 Grey Honda Civic) was issued a ticket on September 24 at 3:45 P.M. For being parked at a bus stop in front of 6910 5th Avenue. When I looked at the image result for this ticket, I saw that the ticket was issued to the old license plate number, and the location of the ticket is in the Bay Ridge area, approximately 1 mile away from the Honda Dealer.

I then reported back to the Honda Dealer that evening, 10/21/09 and informed them that the person who swiped my registration sticker must be the same person who swiped my license plate number, and that they are either selling people's registrations stickers and license plates, or this certain individual probably needed it for themselves. I then asked for the name of the mechanic that worked on my vehicle on these occasions and I was told that they could not give me that information.

I wholeheartedly believe that there is an inside scam going on, and I am sure I am not the first person this has happened to.

I dont care about the new ticket because I have my proof that my plates were surrendered prior to that ticket being issued under the old license plate; however, I do want Honda to be reponsible for the tickets I received while not having the front license plate, due to the thief who stold it.

At this point, I am trying to determine if there are any video surveillance cameras in the area where my vehicle was ticketed, so that I can prove that this vehicle, although it fits my vehicle's description, is not my vehicle.

Moreover, I was no where within the vicinity of 69th Street and 5th Avenue when this vehicle was ticketed, and in fact, was in Elmhurst, New York, with my vehicle, at the time the other vehicle was issued the above-mentioned ticket.

Please get back to me. I am positive that with the proper investigation, we can uncover a tremendous scam involving Bay Ridge Honda.

Thank you.
