Dishonest ripoffs

Yeah, okay... So they "helped" thousands rebuild their credit. Buddy, with "help" like what happened to me... No thanks!

I went to JD Byrider because they were nationally known. The store I went to had the big "BBB" sticker in the window. If only I had checked online first, I would have known that the particular store I went to was "not recommended" by the BBB, due to "failure" to answer several complaints against them!

BTW, not everyone that files bankruptcy is a dirt-bag! Most of us, myself included, incurred a lot of debt due to illnesses and lay-offs. So anyone out there discrediting me because I filed a bankrupcty, let me be the first to tell you how easy it can happen!

I purchased a 1996 Geo Tracker for... Drumroll please... 8,000! Didn't know it at the time of purchase. They don't list the price of the vehicle and don't even tell you until the financing is complete. They made me put 1300.00 down, even though I told them I could only afford 500.00. They talked me into 600.00 and "let" me make weekly payments of 140.00 for five weeks to make up the difference.

The second week I had the vehicle, it wouldn't start. Took it in that day. They said it was the distributor and that they'd have to order the part. I was late to work that day. I took it in when they got the part, they "changed" it and told me it wasn't the problem after all. Bring it back in another day. I took it back in and they said it was the throttle position sensor. Oops, gotta order one of those, too. Took it back in, they changed it, too. Good to go... Except now, not only was it not starting, it was dying out, too. Lost another day of work due to that. They finally admitted that they didn't know what was wrong after four failures and me almost getting hit by another vehicle when the piece of crap died out in the middle of a right hand turn.

That's when they told me they'd send the car to GM "down the street". That was last Monday. A couple of days later, I called to check on it. They hadn't "heard anything from GM." Friday, I went to make my payment and saw the car IN THEIR PARKING LOT. I called again on Monday and was told that "GM still had it and that they hadn't heard anything." I asked where the car was and they said "GM". I asked how long it had been there and was told "since I dropped it off" that Monday! I then called both GM dealers who told me they hadn't heard anything from JD Byrider. I went back last Tuesday, walked into service. The mechanic started asking me about the service engine light. I told him I was there to pick up some stuff out of the car. He told me GM didn't have time for the car and I informed him that I'd already called both GM dealers. HE called THEM liars! He then asked if I needed help unloading the car and I told him a couple of bags would be nice. I stripped the car of my plates and belongings and left. All total, I am out 1450.00, two and half days of work, and am now carless.

I don't care. They can sue me if they want. But, I will go to jail before those liars and cheats get one more penny from me! THEY put me in an UNSAFE vehicle and KEPT putting me in it! Sorry, bankruptcy does not qualify me to be put in that situation!

I don't care about rebuilding my credit anymore. Not at that cost. It will happen when it happens. I don't need "help" like that!
